FREEDOM CONVOY CROWD FUNDING & CRYPTO DONATIONS BLOCKED

Trudeau announced Feb. 14 that his government would invoke the Emergencies Act, a never-before-used law designed to give Ottawa exceptional powers in a state of emergency.

Part of those powers, would have the ability to “prohibit the use of property to fund or support the blockade,” and to require crowdfunding and cryptocurrency “payment processors” to report suspicious transactions to federal financial authorities.
